Mark James Terrell

Mark James Terrell, a long-time resident of Clawson, passed away unexpectedly on June 6, 2023 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was 69 years old. Mark was born to his parents James and Betty Terrell on May 29, 1954 in Saginaw, MI. He graduated from Berkley High School in 1972 and went on to further his studies at Wayne State University and Central Michigan University. Mark was a hard worker and had a long career with Chrysler and Ford. Mark married his wife Kathy on August 3, 1985 in Franklin, MI. They have since raised their four children and enjoyed almost 38 years of marriage together. Mark had a big heart and was the rock of his family. He was always there to give advice and support. He was also a faithful man and a long-time member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Clawson. In his free time, Mark was an avid golfer and enjoyed his Thursday night golf league for 40+ years. He was also passionate about dancing and playing cards, especially bridge and euchre. But most of all, Mark loved spending time with his family. Mark is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Terrell; children, Chrissie Johnson, Molly (Jon) Evans, Steven Terrell, and Katie (Paul Fuller) Terrell; and nine-grandchildren, Courtney, Alyssa, Cassie, Avery, Jared, Kaiden, Hazel, Ada, and Aria. He is also survived by his siblings, Pat (Jim) Thatcher and Jim "Jet" Terrell; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Terrell; and his brother, Mike (Cindy) Terrell. Visitation for Mark will be held from 2:00 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:30 PM on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Gramer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main Street, Clawson, MI 48017; (248) 435-9010. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, in-state at 10:30 AM, on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 581 E. 14 Mile Rd., Clawson, MI 48017; (248) 588-1222.
