Constance Terry Capper

Constance "Connie" Terry Capper, a beacon of faith and a resident of Troy, Michigan, was called to her heavenly home on April 8, 2024, at the age of 90, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on December 31, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan, to Hilda and William Singleton, Connie's early life in Lincoln Park, Michigan, laid the foundation for a journey filled with spiritual growth and love. Connie's path led her to embrace her faith with open arms, finding solace and strength within many amazing churches through the years including Woodhaven Woodland Assembly of God community and, more recently, Troy Assembly of God. It was within these sanctuaries that Connie's spirit flourished, touching the lives of many with her unwavering belief in the power of God's love. Connie's life was blessed with the union to Samuel Capper in August 1961 in Lincoln Park, a bond of love that fortified her until and beyond Samuel's passing. Her legacy is carried on through her loving children, Rick (Sandra) Cholette, Rene (Lawrence) Davis, and Robert (Judy) Cholette, her 7 cherished grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter and her surviving sister, Sally Vann , who will remember her for her profound faith and unconditional love. Connie's journey on earth has ended, but her spiritual journey continues. She is reunited in Heaven with her husband, Samuel, her grandson, James, her great-grandson, Gabriel, and her sister, Beverly English Redwine, where they dwell in the eternal light and love of the Lord. We invite those who knew and loved Connie to join us in a celebration of her life and faith. Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Gramer Funeral Home, 705 North Main St., Clawson, Michigan. The funeral ceremony, a testament to Connie's faith and her journey to eternal peace, will be held at Troy Assembly of God on Saturday April 13, 2024, at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. In memory of Connie and in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to T.O.N.E. Hospice, an organization dear to her heart (donation information below). For those unable to attend in person, the funeral ceremony will be live-streamed on The Troy Assembly of God - Facebook Live page ensuring that all who wish to pay their respects and celebrate Connie's spiritual journey can do so. As we bid farewell to Connie, we find comfort in the knowledge that she is at peace in the divine presence, her faith and love a guiding light for us all. May her soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace, and may her spirit inspire us to live our lives with faith, love, and compassion.
